Respite Care with Comfort Care Hospice

Comfort Care Hospice respite care worker with woman and man

Taking care of a loved one on a full-time basis is a serious and rewarding dedication of your time and energy. Because of that dedication, sometimes you may need a break, whether it’s for a specific time every week or a week or so for vacation. You deserve time for yourself, to rest and recuperate from taking care of your loved one. At Comfort Care Hospice, we understand the incredible amount of time and energy it takes to provide full-time care. Our respite care services allow you to have that much needed time while still providing excellent care for your loved one.

What is Respite Care?

Respite care is a support service provided by Comfort Care Hospice to assist those providing full-time care for a parent, child, or other loved one who needs constant care. A member of the Comfort Care Hospice staff will work with you to plan a schedule where you can have time to yourself without worrying about taking care of someone else for a while. You can schedule time every week for errands or even just some alone time. Should you need to go out of town for longer periods of time for a vacation or other trip, respite care is there to take care of everything in your absence.

What Are the Benefits?

Respite care has many benefits for both the primary caregiver and the person being cared for. With respite care, the primary caregiver can:

  • Spend time with other friends and loved ones
  • Take care of important errands
  • Rest and recuperate
  • Take care of themselves

The person being cared for will experience:

  • Safe interactions with other people
  • New experiences
  • Care from well-trained individuals

Is Respite Care Right for My Family?

If you are the primary caregiver for your loved one with minimal outside support, respite care may be an excellent option for your situation. Everyone needs and deserves time for themselves, if only for a few hours each week. Respite care services with Comfort Care Hospice can help take a bit of the responsibility from your shoulders.
